Did you know?
The UCA Library provides access to one copy of each textbook for all core courses offered each semester. Two copies are available for selected large courses. Textbooks are stored in the Textbook Reserve collection, behind the circulation desk, and can be checked out for two hours for in-library use. You can search for textbooks in the Library’s OneSearch discovery database by entering the title in quotation marks in the search box and selecting the media type books. This strategy will find ebooks as well as print books. Titles purchased but not yet available can be viewed in the catalog by searching “Title: TBR.”
If you don’t know the title of the textbook you need, check your course syllabus, or look it up on the UCA Bookstore website by searching under the department, course, and section number.
Unfortunately, the Library cannot provide the access codes that come with purchasing a textbook. There are also selected workbooks and lab manuals that the Library does not have.
If you are not able to purchase your textbooks, or you are waiting on financial aid, it may be helpful to explore the Emergency Textbook Grants option. If your financial aid is showing in your account, you may be able to charge your books at the bookstore before the refund check is issued. The UCA Financial Aid Office can help you determine if this option is possible.
If you have questions about textbooks on reserve at the Library, come visit the Reference Desk for assistance.
