Web Accessibility
Web accessibility is an inclusive practice of making your websites usable by any person in any situation. We often think of web accessibility as disability accommodation. However, web accessibility benefits anyone who wants to interact with your website including people with slow connections or mobile users. The following resources will help you understand web accessibility, provide you with the widely accepted standards, and help you evaluate your own online content.

- What is web accessibility?Mozilla does an excellent job explaining the importance of accessibility in plain language. This page is also the start of a module that will help you learn accessibility basics if you have any web development responsibilities
- Web accessibility standardsThis page provides a quick summary of the current standard for web accessibility, WCAG 2.1.
- Evaluate online contentWAVE can identify many accessibility and WCAG errors. Using this webpage you can evaluate a single URL or download browser extensions for Chrome or Firefox.
- Check color contrastUse this tool to check the contrast between foreground and background colors (typically used to ensure text can be easily read on-screen)
- Create color palettesAdobe Color can help you create color palettes using various harmony rules. They also have accessibility features including a color blindness visualization mode and a contrast checker.

- WebAIM NVDA OverviewThis article from WebAIM is meant to help you test web accessibility using NVDA. I find that it gives a good overview to using NVDA and provides practice examples.
