Music Collections

Music Lab and Collections

The Music Lab is located on the second floor of Torreyson Library, Room 221. If the door is closed, please see the Circulation Desk for assistance.

The Music Library houses available listening stations for CD, DVD, LD, VHS, LP and audio cassette formats.  

The library has the following music collections:   

  • Music DVDs: Video recordings of musical performances on DVD. Located in the music lab and available for checkout. 
  • Music Media: Sound recordings in many formats including CDs, LP, and audio cassettes. Most are located within the Music Lab with a selection of LPs on shelving outside the Music Lab. All are available for checkout. 
  • Music Recitals: Archived recital recordings for the UCA Music Department. These recital recordings are available for in-house listening only. 
  • Music Scores: Regular, miniature, and oversized scores are located on shelves outside the Music Lab. Scores are available for checkout.
  • Music Reference: Music reference materials are located on shelves outside the Music Lab. Reference materials are for in-library use only.
  • Music Reserves: Music reserve items are located with other course reserves and textbook reserves at the main Circulation Desk at the front entrance of the library. 
  • Music literature and music instruction materials are located in the Main Stacks on the 2nd floor.

Donations

The Music Library accepts donations of select material in good condition.
